Women Are Dreamers Too Organization safe house is a faith-based non-denominational community Organization. At WADT, we work with faith communities to address the problems and concerns of our communities.
It is important that WADT is instrumental in vitalizing and strengthening the life of our Faith communities in Georgia, through our safe house as such we act as a resource liaison for our faith communities.
Through our partnerships with women Ministries at various area Churches, WADT is able to address domestic violence issues as it relates to the economic well being of our women and children.
Partnerships with our area Churches who take active roles in their outreach by volunteering their time and talent during our events but most importantly during our domestic violence awareness outreach also reinforces our core believes which are deeply rooted in faith
There are many paths to a more just world, and WADT faith-based community organizing is one of them.
Other paths include our direct service, in which our faith communities respond to the immediate and often urgent physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others.
Another path is advocacy or activism, where people act and to speak on behalf of others who are suffering from great injustices and social ills.
WADT path to building a more just world involves teaching people of faith how to build and exercise their own power to address the root causes of the problems they face. AT WADT, this struggle for justice is rooted in our faith.
